Would you walk 200 miles (in a skirt!) for something you believed in? The journey of Women's Suffrage "pilgrims"
is brought to life in a new chamber piece entitled, "Suffrage Signatures". Composer Joelle Wallach will include live dialogue and images based on the personal letters and photographs of these fascinating women during the performance. Join members of the Canta Libre Chamber Ensemble (flute, harp and strings) for the premier performance of this exciting multi-media work. Many of these groundbreaking suffragists are buried at Woodlawn, the memory of whom is alive and well, thanks to ongoing research and outreach to living relatives by the Woodlawn Conservancy.
