Show Business Legends and The Lambs Trolley Tour

Woodlawn Cemetery is proud to be the final resting place of hundreds of entertainers who made New York the capital of the show business world. One chapter of our history is that we have more than 100 members of The Lambs, the oldest professional theatrical organization in the country. Since 1874 it has been the leading social club in New York for those with ties to entertainment. On this unique tour you will see some of the brightest names of stage and screen, and some whose names are not as remembered any longer. You will visit little-seen mausoleums of men and women who were top stars a century ago. You’ll hear stories about the club from current members of The Lambs, including club historian Kevin C. Fitzpatrick, our tour guide. Among the names are Oliver Hazard Perry Belmont, Irving Berlin, William Courtleigh, Reginald De Koven, James Montgomery Flagg, Joseph Grismer, and Fritz Williams, who actually died in the clubhouse. We will also play a show business trivia game!

This is a trolley tour. All guests regardless of vaccination status will be asked to wear a mask while on the trolley. Thank you for your cooperation.
