Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, N.Y. Leader: Dennis Aita. If coming by train take the #4 train to the last stop, Woodlawn & Jerome Ave. Meet 10 a.m. just inside the cemetery’s entrance.
The walk will start after 10am. Bring lunch and water. We will have a quick lunch around 12:30 followed by a mushroom id session at the tables right behind the Woodlawn Cemetery office near the Jerome Avenue entrance. Either bring a basket or large shopping bag(s) as well as a knife for collecting. You also might want to bring smaller paper or wax paper bags. We don't walk as a single group. Instead people scatter around, often in small groups, to cover a larger part of the cemetery. If you get there late make sure you get a map.
